Richardson, TX - July 25, 2016 - Last Friday, July 22nd, Chuck Ligon and his son Connor Ligon, through a newly formed company named CLL2 Investments, LLC, closed on the purchase of an iconic tour bus that was originally commissioned for country music legend Willie Nelson. The tour bus is a 1987 Silver Eagle Model 15 that was built by Florida Coach out of Kissimmee, Florida, and has a very colorful and historic past. Known as "Redheaded Stranger", this bus is one of four buses built for and utilized by Willie Nelson during the late 1980's. After Willie Nelson, this tour bus was also used by many other artists over the past 25 years, including but not limited to, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Asleep At The Wheel, Perfect Stranger, Joe Ely, Billy Joe Shaver, Randy Rogers, Eli Young, Jack Ingram, Randy Travis, Josh Abbott, and most recently by Oklahoma artist Shawna Russell. The acquisition will bring this rolling piece of country music history back to Texas, and the top priority of CLL2 Investments, LLC is to preserve this historical treasure and make it available for display at private events and concerts.
