Texas Open Road Acoustic Series
In 2012, Chuck Ligon launched a new acoustic show called the Texas Open Road Acoustic Series. This show was inspired by Chuck's numerous trips on his Harley to the Hill Country. Riding in and around Luckenbach, Gruene, and Bandera, Chuck and his wife Kim discovered some of the great Texas venues that offer live music...and cold beer! On their travels, they met many interesting characters who were also talented musicians with great stories, thus providing the inspiration and backdrop for Chuck's acoustic series.
Scheduled for the 2nd Saturday of every month, the Texas Open Road Acoustic Series is an acoustic show that is up-close and personal, allowing the audience to get to know and appreciate the true talent of the artist. The format for the show includes a song swap between Chuck and a featured top-tier artist in the Texas music scene, and the show not only includes great music, but also the "back story" behind favorite songs and interesting tales from the artists' individual musical journeys.
